Power Trowels

A power trowel is a construction tool that smooths, levels, and polishes concrete surfaces. It's also known as a power float or troweling machine.

How it works

  • A motorized unit with rotating blades or pans on the bottom rotates rapidly to smooth and compact the concrete
  • The machine floats wet concrete by removing humps and filling valleys
  • It creates a smooth, hard skin by burnishing the top of the slab

Types

  • There are walk-behind and ride-on power trowels
  • The size of the machine depends on the scale of the project

Benefits

  • Power trowel machines can cover large areas of concrete quickly, saving time and labor
  • They are most commonly used for large-scale concrete projects or in situations where a high-quality finish is required
